Vision

The Aboriginal Community in Far East Gippsland is physically spiritually, emotionally, and economically healthy, vibrant, strong, proud, and culturally connected.

Purpose

At Moogji we support community members through their life journeys to achieve the best health and wellbeing outcomes possible, strengthen cultural and community connections and reach employment and economic development goals.

We maintain a strategic focus on cultural heritage and caring for country.  Native flora and fauna protection ensure our Community can practice culture, protect and care for totems and provide opportunities for our Elders to transfer knowledge.

We provide quality services and programs in a culturally safe environment, facilitating employment and training opportunities, supporting strong community leadership, and advocating for community needs and aspirations.

Board of Directors

Moogji Aboriginal Council East Gippsland Inc’s Board of directors consists of a Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Secretary and four directors. All members of the Board are elected for a two year term.

The Board oversees the running of Moogji on behalf of their members and make decisions to safely secure the future of the organisation.

The Board sets Moogji’s strategic direction through a formal Strategic Plan that is co-designed with staff, members & community. This plan is regularly reviewed Our current strategic plan is 2023 (please see the link below)
